Dr. Biplab Pal, the director, owner, and designer of MathClubForKids, brings a wealth of experience and a passion for redefining education. With a Master’s in Physics and a Ph.D. in Electronics, Dr. Pal is not only an accomplished technology entrepreneur with 25 US patents in Sensors and AI but also serves as an adjunct faculty member at the Center for Autonomous Robotics and Distributed Sensing (CARDS) at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) for the past three years.

Dr. Pal has taken numerous nonprofit initiatives in both India and the USA, dedicated to elevating the general mathematical standards and enhancing the application of mathematics skills, especially among kids. In India, under his guidance, approximately 3,000+ disadvantaged students are learning mathematics through a range of teachers using syllabi and course materials designed by Dr. Pal. These programs are tailored to equip students with the mathematical skills that are relevant in the AI age.

Throughout his career, Dr. Pal observed a troubling trend: a growing disconnect between academic learning and practical application, especially in the field of mathematics. He witnessed students with advanced degrees—Masters and PhDs—struggling to apply their knowledge effectively due to foundational weaknesses in their early education. This realization sparked his commitment to overhaul the traditional approach to math education, aiming to equip students with the skills needed to think critically, ask questions, and utilize mathematics as a powerful tool in any field.

The Birth of STEM Talent Foundation in India

Motivated by his insights, Dr. Pal founded the STEM Talent Foundation in India, rallying a team of senior and experienced math and data science educators who shared his vision for a new kind of mathematical education. In 2022, he launched a pilot program in India, which quickly gained traction and captivated the attention of students and parents alike. The program was met with overwhelming success, transforming the apathetic attitudes of many children towards mathematics. Through interactive and engaging lessons, students began to see math not just as a subject to pass, but as the most critical skill for survival in an AI-driven world.

A Proven Success: 5,000 Students and Growing

With nearly 5,000 students participating in the pilot program, Dr. Pal and his team witnessed remarkable transformations.
